Easy to Ride

Minimal maintenance

At Wire, we have been operating the first nationwide electric scooter subscription service for over a year.  All those scooters, riders, and miles were ridden taught us a lot about what features make the experience better and what features seem good at in theory but don't make sense in actual use.  

For instance, our first-generation scooter had a disc brake that was good at stopping but was too strong and often caused riders to lock us the wheel when trying to stop, making it hard to control--especially for less experienced riders.  We also found that if you were very careful handling the scooter, the disc brake was easily warped.  This caused the brake to make annoying noises and meant you were always fiddling with the brakes to adust them. So, when we were developing the all-new Ohm electric scooter, we used a dual braking system that uses an ABS electric regenerative brake on the front wheel and a mechanical friction brake on the rear.

Designed and Built with Experience

We designed and developed the Ohm electric scooter over two years with our exclusive manufacturing partner.  After operating the nation's first electric scooter subscription service we had learned a lot to better understand what features and specifications were the most important [and which were just marketing hype].  The Wire Ohm is the result of thousands of miles of user testing to develop an electric scooter that balances durability, weight, portability, and power with portability in mind.
